I’m a business advisor, marketing consultant, blogger and wine aficionado living in New York City.
I’m passionate about the social web and its ability to transform our world. Traveling, art and wine as ways to experience cultures and people are core to how I live my life.
I’ve been turning technology and infrastructure into consumer and enterprise products and services for 25 years. And while I’ve built many successful solutions for small and large businesses, my heart is firmly centered at the intersection of brand, community and technology.
I’ve been so fortunate in business, with 2 IPOs, over a dozen acquisitions, and innumerable fund raisings. I’m comfortable in the Bay area, Los Angeles and New York tech and VC communities.
I’m a new market builder by nature, with a deep belief in the transforming power of brands and the key nature of distribution systems in defining how we feel about the products and services that we buy and use.
I’ve thrived and been most successful when new technologies transform mass society. Social networks and commerce systems. Computer gaming. Multimedia. Online communities. 3D in the movies. VoIP phone systems. And early exciting projects to create prosumer video tools on the Mac, use auction technology to drive e-commerce and supply chains and build online benchmarking and usability systems.

Wine Stream is my notepad on wine and the wine industry. I’m inspired by wine and a serious amateur. Although my palate is better than my wine education, I’m learning quickly. I add a wine to the stream whenever I find one that is memorable for value, yell-out-loud greatness or unique as a Vin Naturel or Living Wine.
