The equivalent to “Slow Food” in wine is pure Vin Naturel–Biodynamic, natural yeast and no sulfites. A find in this rarified small world is a Beaujolais from Ducroux, Regnie ’08 Sans Souffre. Low alcohol, dark fruit, bright acidity. Truly great stuff and my first ‘living wine’ at less than $20 a bottle. I can only imagine that this is what wine used to taste like before industrialized farming. Intriguing thought. Delightful to taste.
