I knew I'd get your attention when I started to taste and blog on wines that are closer to you;)

You are convincing me. Usually go to Europe/Italy every September. Was thinking Sicily this year but I'll see what I can arrange.

You should really visit the Barolo area Arnold. It's truly beautiful, and they take their wine very, very seriously.

Barolo is part of the “Langhe” district – which is also the Italian white truffle capital. The best meals I've ever eaten have been there.

Best time to go is November when the new truffles are found. Note that you need to book the good restaurants months in advance for this period…
